Pinord, vins i caves 1942

Our wine, Marqués de Pluma, made in the D. O. Ribera del Duero, has won gold in the Vinhoreca wine awards 2011. This wine competition is open to all Spanish wines which are judged according to their quality, value for money, presentation and packaging. Of the 21 medals awarded, only four of them were GOLD (Gran Oro) which is what Marqués de Pluma has been awarded for its 2007 aged wine.

Vinhoreca is a national competition which assesses quality and value for money as well as a wine’s packaging and presentation. Since the first edition of this competition, winning wines have offered consumers a wonderful opportunity to taste and enjoy wines. The organizers of the competition have awarded prizes to spectacular wines which offer value for money and together with the right kind of food and wine pairing, have been recognised as exceptional wines in terms of price and quality.

Today we received a visitor at Pinord. Zhi Yuan Fang Chen is the new distributor of our wines in China.

Joan Martí, Sales director for Pinord in South-east Asia has developed new business links with a new distributor in China: Zhi Yuan Fang Chen, who is now representing Pinord’s Marqués de Pluma in China. During the day, he visited our winery, tasted some of our wines and bought seven different varieties of reds as well as our cava, Marrugat Gran Brut for export. Perfect!
